Elmhurst Fire at 4 Elm Creek Apartments - Nov. 4th

At 1:43 pm on Saturday, November 4th, the Elmhurst Fire Department along with mutual aid responded to a fire alarm at 4 Elm Creek apartments on Elm Creek Drive. While in route the alarm was upgraded to a structure fire. 

Upon arrival, Engine 2 reported heavy smoke coming from one of the first-floor apartment’s patio doors. The fire was found in the kitchen of the unit and quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported. Water damage was reported on the first floor of the complex and fire damage was limited to the apartment unit where the fire originated. Elmhurst firefighters are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
